3D Projects

In this section of my portfolio you can find three dimensional works made primarily of super sculpey and ceramics. Among these projects are some that I sell as unique products, while others are explorative. Commissions are welcome!

Sculpey Projects and Explorations

Super Sculpey modeling is one of my most recent exploration ventures. Modeling, and mask making are the most recent ventures.

Sculpey Jewelry

These jewelry pieces are an exploration of the natural and abstract, a play on shape and form along with flow and harmony as the end goal.

Model: Mouse at Work

This is an experimental work; allowing for the exploration of miniature details possible to create in the medium.

Dragon Mask

This is a mask created based on the combination of various Asian mythology and folklore.

Ceramics Projects and Explorations

Ceramics is one of my greatest passions beyond my main career. The clay medium is so versatile that once I get my hands on it I can create endlessly for hours on end!

Kintsugi

Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold thus teaching the lesson of embracing the flaws and imperfections, giving a second life to an object. Thus, this project came into existence when one from a set of two ceramic bowls I made shattered by accident. Through this project I gave my own pottery a second life and fully embraced its flaws and imperfections as new found beauty.

Double-Wall Pottery

This pottery technique is complicated yet with practice allows for fascinating innovative forms that can be experimented with further and even integrated with other pottery techniques. The inspiration comes from the goal to entice the viewer to look within.

Cups

This series of different cups is an embodiment of an experiment to combine and test various pottery and glazing techniques.

Candle Holders

Candle holders presented in this section are an exploration of how the shape of pottery plays a role on the light and shadow cast by the flame within.

Platters

This series of platters is an exploration of printing can be used in the creation of textured pottery. These projects are also part of a glaze mixing exploration conducted during my final year of high school.

Vases

These projects are an exploration of extrusion, slab building, and texturing.

Plant Pots

These projects are a result of wheal throwing practice as well as a testing ground for new glazing methods.

Kitchen Things

These projects were another exploration of the pottery wheal as well as a direct exploration of food safe glazes. All the pottery in this section as well as the cups and rectangular platters in the sections above are all food safe.
