A Little Sweetness
This is a packaging design project collaboration with Sahar Shah Baigzada for a packaging design course we took at the Alberta University of the Arts. For this project we collaborated to design a brand, product, packaging and an app. Throughout this project we focus on integrating circular design into the brand and packaging.
In terms of the physics of our packaging we considered the practicality of bringing it on trips, thus we developed a tong locking mechanism which prevents the box from opening in your bag and ads an extra level of sturdiness to the package form itself.
Furthermore our packaging has a QR code on the inside which would lead to our app within which our consumers can find information resources on travel which they would normally receive as paper pamphlets or magazines at information centers. Users of the app will also gain access to a cloud based destination saving service which would allow them to pin their favorite destination routs.

About The Project
A Little Sweetness is a product brand that we developed. Our flower flavored sugar orb product doubles as a sweet confectionary and a nice addition to your afternoon tea! What's even more unique about our product is that it is a series product in which the flower flavoring is themed to places around the world. A little sweetness is intended to be sold at airports around the world and it can also double as a freebie given away at trip advising agencies.
The packaging of our product is designed with circular design in mind thus, the materials are intended to be primarily sourced from the printed waste of the travel industry and sustainable forestry.
